The Rules: blessings only
Love Your Country · Last updated: 29 October 2026
This site has one rule for what you write: a blessing only. A blessing is a warm, positive wish, love, pride or thanks for the country you are sending hearts to. Nothing else. In any language.
Your name or nickname follows the same spirit: a name, not a message.
What passes
- Love, pride, wishes, thanks, peace, health, memory, family, home.
- A greeting from where you are: a city, "from abroad", "from the diaspora", "from your grandchildren". (Say the city, not another country; see below.)
- Religious blessings for the country ("God bless Nigeria", "ברוך השם, ישראל", "Allah korusun Türkiye").
- Emojis, poems, song lines that are blessings. Up to 40 characters.
Examples that pass:
- English: "With love from Toronto, you are home." · "Peace and sunshine to Greece."
- עברית: "עם ישראל חי, אוהבים מניו יורק" · "שתהיי תמיד בית, ישראל"
- Español: "México lindo, desde Chicago con amor" · "Que Colombia florezca siempre"
- Filipino: "Mahal kita, Pilipinas. Mula sa Dubai" · "Pinas, uuwi rin ako"
- हिन्दी: "भारत, तुम पर गर्व है" · "दिल से, दुबई से"
- Українська: "Україно, живи і квітни" · "Любов з Варшави"
- Türkçe: "Türkiyem, iyi ki varsın" · "Berlin'den sevgilerle"
- Português: "Brasil, saudade e orgulho" · "Portugal, terra do meu coração"
What does not pass
| Not allowed | Why | Example that is rejected |
|---|---|---|
| Politics: parties, elections, leaders, movements, armies, demands | The page belongs to the country, not to a side | "Vote X", "Free Y", "Long live the president" |
| Territorial claims or conflict slogans | We do not host border disputes | "Z belongs to us", "X is not a country" |
| Naming or comparing another country, territory or its people | Keeps the page about one love, and keeps rivalries off the board | "Better than our neighbours", "Love from Country X" (say the city instead) |
| Insults, slurs, mockery, hate, threats, violence | Obvious | Anything you would not say to a grandmother |
| Sexual content | Obvious | — |
| Brands, products, companies, advertising, links, handles, phone numbers | The slogan is not an ad | "Buy at shop.com", "@myhandle", "+1 555…" |
| Other people's personal details, or pretending to be an official, a celebrity or an institution | Privacy and honesty | "President of …", "The Embassy", "From the Ministry" |
| Gibberish, spam, repeated characters, keyword stuffing | Blessings, not noise | "asdfgh", "🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥" |
The same list applies to names: no slurs, no brands, no "official" titles, no URLs. If your name trips the filter you can use another nickname.
Grey areas are decided by the question: would the country's own grandmother smile at it? If yes, it is a blessing.
How review works
- When you submit, software checks the text instantly (links, phone numbers, handles, a blocklist, other country names) and then an AI model reads it in its own language and answers one question: is this a positive blessing for this country?
- Most blessings are approved within seconds and appear on the page. If the AI cannot answer in time, your blessing is marked pending and re-checked shortly; it is not shown while pending.
- If your blessing is rejected: your hearts still count in full, the text is hidden, your certificate card is issued without the blessing, you see the reason, and there is no refund. You may submit a different blessing for a new order.
- We may re-check a blessing that is already displayed, for example after a flag (below), and hide it. Hearts are never removed because of a blessing.
Appeals
Think we got it wrong? Email hello@all-ways-up.com within 30 days with your order id and the blessing. A person will read it and answer within 14 days. If we agree, the blessing goes live (and, if it was the biggest gift of the month, it becomes the slogan from that moment). The appeal decision is final.
Country guardians
The five biggest givers of the current month in a country are its guardians. A guardian can flag a displayed blessing or slogan on that country's page. Two flags from different guardians hide the text until we re-check it (within 48 hours). Flagging in bad faith, or coordinating flags to push a rival off the slogan, loses guardian status and may cost the flagger's own blessing.
Emergencies
In a war, disaster or similar emergency we may pause slogans and new blessings for a country for a while. Hearts keep counting.
The slogan
The slogan of a country for the month is the approved blessing of the biggest single paid gift in that month (UTC). It is limited to 40 characters so it fits on the card. If the slogan is hidden after a flag, the next eligible gift takes its place. See the Terms for the full rule.
